Is Barry Cable still alive? – Barry Cable an Australian Rules Footballer coach is very much alive and doing well for himself.

Cable, who was up in Narrogin, Western Australia, made his WANFL debut with the Perth Football Club in 1962, and in 1964 he took home the Sandover Medal as the league’s most deserving athlete.

In addition to being chosen for the All-Australian squad and receiving the Tassie Medal as the finest player at the 1966 Australian National Football Carnival.

He participated in Perth’s first of three straight premierships that year, participating in each of which earned him the Simpson Medal for best player in the Grand Final as well as a second Sandover Medal in 1968.

The Syd Barker Medal, given to the club’s best and fairest player, was won by Cable while playing for the North Melbourne Football Club in the VFL at the conclusion of the 1969 season. After the VFL season, Cable returned to Western Australia.
