Martina Struff is the mother of Jan-Lennard Struff, a German professional tennis player who reached his career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 29 in August 2020 and achieved a career-high ranking of world No. 21 in doubles in October 2018.
Martina coaches tennis at Tennis Park in their hometown and together with her husband, they operate the company Dieter Struff and Martina Struff company.
Jan-Lennard started training with his parents when he was 6 years old.
Fast forward, he has become one of the well-known German tennis players.
He turned pro in 2009 and five years later, he progressed to his first semifinals on the ATP Tour in Marseille, Munich and Metz.
As a result of his performance, he entered the top 50 in the ATP rankings for the first time in his career and finished the year in the top 100 also for the first time at World No. 59.
Two years later, Struff reached the third round of the Paris Masters as a qualifier, his best showing at the Masters 1000 level thus far, after beating world No. 3 Stan Wawrinka, saving a match point.
At the 2018 Wimbledon Championships, Struff reached the quarterfinals in doubles partnering with McLachlan. They lost to the wildcard pair of Frederik Nielsen and Joe Salisbury.
Thus far, Struff has a career record of 169–203 (45.4% in ATP Tour events).
