Willie Gay found himself in the grips of Police on Wednesday night for allegedly damaging a property.

The Kansas City Chiefs linebacker was arraigned before courts on Thursday afternoon and pleaded not guilty to the misdemeanor charge and was later released from the detention center in Johnson County a few minutes later.

He is scheduled to return to court on March 2.

Willie Gay allegedly broke a vacuum, cellphone screen protector and humidifier, which cost less than $1000, during an argument.

According to Gay’s agents, Maxx Lepsettler and Ryan Rubin, he was visiting his son when he got into an argument with the child’s mother, who called the police.

Gay is not allowed to see his 3-month-old son and his mother because of a pending civil protection order until the case is heard by a civil judge.

“I’m going to leave that up to Andy. I’m sure he’ll address it,” the AP quoted the Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to have said when asked for comments.
